About work
This position is focused on the territory of the Kharkiv region and ensures compliance with the procedures and instructions of the DRB within this territory. The position helps develop strategies that translate into action plans and daily tasks.
Essential Responsibilities ties
Monitoring

Collect quantitative and qualitative data at the field level.Support the development of monitoring tools to be used during activities and assistance .During monitoring activities, ensure that beneficiaries are treated with respect, apply principles of confidentiality and informed consent.Conduct data collection work.For potentially sensitive cases or sensitive issues that may be observed at the field level, consult a monitoring and data evaluation specialist. li>Inform supervisor of any security incident that may occur.Troubleshoot and conflicts that may arise in monitoring and responding to minor complaints from beneficiaries.Reporting and information
- Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Monitoring Specialist and assessments of monitoring achievements and issues.
- Security incidents identified and communicated in coordination with the Security Team.
- Prepare periodic monitoring reports to ensure that programs have accurate and useful data, on the basis of which the project is developed.
- Participate in the internal evaluation of the program.
Responsibility/Accountability
- Ensure that activities comply with the principles of accountability of the DRB.
- Support the implementation of the DRB complaint handling mechanism.
About you
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have at least 1 year of direct experience in monitoring and evaluation, and the ability to analyze data and summarize it for different audiences. We also expect:
Must:
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of a range of monitoring and evaluation techniques to facilitate evidence-based learning data.
- Demonstrated ability and understanding to design, commission and manage evaluation methodologies and techniques such as focus group discussions, key informant interviews, observations, etc.
- Good skills verbal and written communication.
- Excellent MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Ability to gain support from team and member staff and build capacity others.
- Ability to coordinate the effective allocation of resources to ensure quality programs.
- English language proficiency at B1 level.
- Fluency in Ukrainian.

Desirable:
- Learning quantitative methodologies, including database management.
- Experience working within budget limitations.
- Experience of qualitative research methods.
Education:
Specialist and/or master's degree in social sciences, development, program evaluation, data, economics, econometrics, and operations research or related fields.

- Contract: Indefinite, after a 3-month trial period.
- Location: Kharkiv.
- Start date: January 2025.
- Wages and working conditions will be in accordance with the employment conditions for citizens of the Danish Refugee Council.
