IT Officer/Logistics 

Terre des hommes is looking for a proactive, energetic, and organised IT Officer/Logistics, to join its team in Kyiv, Ukraine (with the possibility of traveling between local offices), to support in the implementation of its projects. Terre des hommes (Tdh) is the leading Swiss organisation for children’s aid. Since 1960, Tdh has helped build a better future for children and youth, especially those most exposed to risks, making an impact with innovative and sustainable solutions. Active in more than 30 countries, Tdh works with its own teams and/or local and international partners to develop and implement field projects which significantly improve the daily lives of over four million children and members of their communities every year, with a focus on mother and child health, migration, and access to justice for children.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Assets and IT

• Ensure a good equipment management.
• Ensure the correct affectation of equipment according to donors rules and regulation.
• Ensure in close collaboration with admin and program, the affectation and transfer of equipment at the end of programs according to donors and Tdh rules and regulations.
• Ensure the assets well cover the support and program needs.
• Ensure an accurate and regular equipment follow up.
• Ensure Tdh networking procedures are followed at Field Level.
• Provide technical assistance to teams and organize training sessions.

Procurement

• Support the Procurement team with:
• Identification of suppliers and collect quotations according to the activities needs.
• Reception of goods and materials.
• Check delivery to the departments, bases and programs.
• Provide invoices and receipts to the administration according to the rules of the organization.

Operations

• Ensure that logistics support meets Programs expectations.
• Ensure good level of communication between Programs and Logistics.
• Ensure quality of store management and reporting.
• Ensure the quality of the transport and delivery of all stock items.
• Ensure the link between suppliers and programs.
• In close collaboration with the program team, manage the stock reconciliation.
• Manage the rent of premises (office, houses, warehouses). Manage the functioning of premises (electricity, water, gas, etc).
• Supervise the renovation and maintenance of structures needed for the functioning of the base (offices, houses, warehouse).

YOUR PROFILE

• University degree in relevant field. Degree in Logistics field will be considered as an asset. Certified driving skills (Valid driving license);
• Minimum 1 year of experience in similar role, preferably with an international non-governmental organization;
• Significant previous experience with similar tasks, Previous experience in emergency response is appreciated
• Good knowledge of Ukrainian Laws.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize;
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff;
• Fluent oral and written skills in Ukraine, knowledge of English is desirable, French is an asset.
