Integration engineer in Odd Systems

Odd Systems is a defense technology company specializing in the development and production of thermal imaging cameras and FPV drones. Founded by a group of entrepreneurs, engineers, managers and FPV enthusiasts with previous experience in a number of international technology companies, including Petcube, a global leader in pet cameras and software. The company's products, including thermal imaging cameras Kurbas and daytime Svitlichny; drones Stus, Lupinis, Gorska, Teliga and others, named in honor of prominent figures of the "Shooted Renaissance" and the "Sixties" — Ukrainian intellectuals persecuted and destroyed by the Soviet regime. Since our full-scale invasion, we have been continuously expanding our production capacity, team and technology level.

We are currently looking for an Integration Engineer to join our R&D team.

Requirements

• Experience in integrating modules into various platforms, working with single-board devices.
• Understanding the principles of connecting CVBS, UVC, MIPI video interfaces.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot camera hardware and software.
• Ability to solder, understand basic principles of electronic systems.
• Ability to use a 3D printer.
• Ability to maintain an engineering discussion with the customer.

Responsibilities

• Integration of thermal imaging and day cameras to various platforms: quadcopters, airplanes, gimbals, interceptors, other systems.
• Configuring and optimizing cameras, checking image parameters.
• Working with drivers, SDKs, CVBS, UVC, MIPI interfaces and single-board devices (Raspberry Pi, Nvidia Jetson, etc.).
• Identifying and eliminating technical problems: image failures, unstable camera operation and etc.
• Working with cable solutions and connecting cameras to various systems.
• Testing of integrated solutions and preparation of technical documentation.

Will be a plus

• Practical work experience with drones or UAV systems
• Experience with thermal imaging cameras.
• Experience in defense companies.
• Ability to quickly prototype integrations and test various platforms.
• Work in CAD systems
