DRC has been working in Ukraine since 2014, providing vital aid and emergency response to people affected by the war. Currently, there are about 800 national and about 55 international employees working in Ukraine.
Are you looking to build a positive workplace culture and foster organizational growth? If so, DRC is looking for an ambitious and focused HR Manager to lead our HR team.
Your main duties in the position will be:< /strong>
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and inspire the HR team (consisting of 10 HR colleagues in the national office ), oversee planning, performance, welfare and staff development initiatives.
- Provide technical support, consultation and capacity building to improve the skills and capabilities of the team at the regional office level
- Provide consultation and assistance to managers on various issues related to personnel management, ensuring the smooth operation of the entire organization.
Recruiting, development and personnel planning
- Manage recruitment and selection activities, ensuring adherence to the recruitment process and promoting new retention strategies.
- Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new employees and maintain consistency of job titles across all locations.
- Support staff development initiatives by recommending and approving training and development opportunities for employees through our Training Catalogue.
Payroll Management
< li>Oversee accurate and timely staff payroll, ensuring compliance with legislation and organizational policies.- Direct and support HR staff in the collection, verification and reporting of payroll data, and manage communications with others stakeholders.
- Ensure that all calculations and deductions are accurate and any errors are identified and corrected in a timely manner
Efficiency, welfare, compensation and benefits
work performance and mediate disciplinary procedures, ensuring fairness and legal compliance.
Promote initiatives aimed at improving people's well-being by contributing to the creation of a supportive and inclusive work environment.Identify and review salary structure in collaboration with the Support Manager and Country Director, coordinating the annual compensation review and adjustment process.HR Policy and Support
- Ensure that all policies are up-to-date and aligned with the organization's values. Develop any other personnel policies in accordance with the needs of the organization.
- Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of processes in the field of personnel management, increasing the quality and efficiency of our services.
About you:
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have at least 5 years of experience in in the field of personnel management, of which at least 2 years in a managerial position in an NGO and at least 3 years of experience in people management. In addition, we also expect the following:
Required :
- Proven leadership qualities and competence in people management.
- Demonstrated understanding and practical knowledge/experience of human resource management principles, concepts and processes.
- Excellent skills in solving and consulting on complex personnel management issues.
- Experience in developing personnel strategies and policies and their implementation.
- Experience in using an online system for personnel selection.

- Work experience in a large organization (500+ employees)
- Complete professional command of the English language.
- Higher education in the field of personnel management, management or other related specialization
Preferred
- Work experience in Ukraine.
- Ability to speak and write in Ukrainian.

Wages and conditions will be in accordance with the Employment Conditions of the Danish Council for Refugees in Ukraine.
