Our client specializes in financial technologies, focusing on merging traditional financial systems with cutting-edge blockchain technologies. Their flagship product is a private Layer 1 blockchain that provides a secure and regulated environment for financial institutions and clients to interact, ensuring transaction privacy and data security. Their innovative approach bridges the gap between traditional finance and blockchain, enabling cryptocurrencies to be used as FIAT money.

Their second product is a licensed money remittance service under Canadian MSB regulations. It empowers users to open IBAN accounts in multiple currencies, facilitating global payments and reducing international wire transfer and exchange costs. It uniquely supports both FIAT and cryptocurrency payments, meeting the rising demand for digital money transactions. Additionally, it offers debit cards topped up with FIAT and crypto balances, a crypto trading module, a payment gateway, and merchant services, currently targeting SMB clients with plans to expand to larger firms.

We are excited to announce that this growing Fintech startup is looking to hire a dedicated and experienced HR Manager. With their current team of 30+ exceptional professionals, they are aiming to expand based on their business roadmap, and they need someone who can support and foster the company’s growth and culture.


Location: Bucharest, Romania (Headquarters)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employee Well-being: Ensure a safe, comfortable, and supportive work environment tailored to the needs of a fintech company.
  • Performance Evaluation: Facilitate comprehensive performance reviews for both employees and managers, utilizing 360-degree feedback.
  • Employee Feedback: Gather and act on feedback from employees to continuously improve workplace satisfaction, especially in a tech-focused environment.
  • Event Management: Organize company events, happy hours, and team-building activities to enhance company culture and team cohesion.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead the recruitment process, managing multiple recruitment streams in parallel independently and via third-party recruiters, from identifying talent to onboarding new team members with experience in fintech and blockchain technologies.
  • Offboarding: Manage the offboarding process for departing employees with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Distributed Workforce Management: Effectively manage HR responsibilities for a team spread across multiple locations, ensuring consistent communication and support.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace environment.
  • Process and Procedure Development: Build and integrate processes and procedures within the organization to streamline HR functions and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as HR Generalist, particularly in the IT or fintech industry, with a proven track record of successful hiring and employee retention.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage a distributed workforce.
  • Personality: A caring and empathetic individual who prioritizes employee needs and fosters a positive work environment.
  • Expertise: Proficiency in managing HR functions in a startup environment, with a focus on employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with HR software and tools is a plus.
  • Initiative: A proactive individual who can push and implement processes and procedures to enhance organizational effectiveness.
