Since March 2022, UK-MED has been working in Ukraine by involving various specialists in the field of protection health and non-medical workers to meet the needs of the affected communities located in the frontline and occupied territories.
Currently we invite you to join our team Financial Manager in the city of Dnipro.
Purpose of the position:management of financial activities of the UK-MED Ukraine office.
The financial manager is responsible for ensuring high quality, accuracy and reliability of financial reporting of UK-MED Ukraine, in accordance with organizational policy and donor requirements.
The financial manager oversees the Ukrainian finance and accounting team, is responsible for overall financial management, including planning and budgeting, accounting, financial control, reporting to donors and head office. He/she ensures compliance with international accounting standards and financial reporting, as well as requirements of Ukrainian legislation and donors.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Compliance with the regulations and procedures of the organization and donors.
- Supporting the monthly reconciliation of the UK-MED registry system — QuickBooks and ensuring the timely completion of reporting financial periods in the country.

- Administration of financial plans and budgets, tracking changes and timely informing management about the financial condition of UK-MED Ukraine.
- Management of cash flows and financial forecasting in order to ensure a sufficient amount of cash in the country to pay service providers and personnel.
- Control of the payment of wages and ensuring the execution of the calculation of wages in accordance with the labor and tax legislation of Ukraine.
- Liaising with donors to ensure financial and program reporting to donors.
- Audit kits, equipment and other means of field activity.Cooperation with logistics colleagues to ensure complete and accurate accounting of the value and location of assets/shares.
- Analysis and reporting to head office regarding the monthly budget.
- Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements for external donors.
- Review of financial systems, policies and procedureslocal partners regarding compliance with donor requirements.
- Supervise the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for submission to local authorities.
- Coordination and support of internal and external financial audits.

Necessary skills and knowledge:
- Master's degree in finance, accounting or business administration
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in a corporate environment or in international non-governmental organizations (NGOs), including development and implementation strategic and operational support services.
- Experience of working with key humanitarian and development donors — UN agencies, USAID, World Bank, EU, FCDO etc.
- Experience in managing financial projects and complying with the requirements of various institutional donors.
- Experience in preparing for audits, supporting audit processes, as well as working in the field of taxation, tax declarations and tax audits.< /li>
- Strong analytical skills, strategic planning and decision-making ability.
- High level of mastery of basic office programs, in particular Microsoft 365.
- Fluency in English (not lower than level B 1).
The successful candidate will receive:
- Salary from UAH 95,000 gross/month (depending on your experience).
