Head of the infrastructure development and operation department in Vega Telecom

What tasks await you:

• Organization of the activities of the department for maintenance, development and information provision of information systems, automation of information processing, solutions to engineering, economic and other problems of a production nature.
• Planning and implementation of IT equipment maintenance work.
• Responsibility for the selection of technologies and IT infrastructure elements.
• Ensuring the updating of the technical base of the department.
• Implementation of the latest methods and means of information processing within the framework of the implementation of a single technology for the development of the Company's information systems.

Skills and experience required:

• 5+ years in the field of IT infrastructure; 2+ years in a managerial position (head of department / team leader);
• Experience in managing a team (system administrators, network engineers, DevOps).
• Deep understanding of data center architecture, principles of fault tolerance (HA, DR).
• Experience with VMware, Windows/Linux, network and server equipment.
• Knowledge of monitoring systems, backup, cyber protection.
• Understanding the processes of capacity planning and infrastructure development.
• Ability to work with high priority incidents.
• Formation, development and motivation of the team.
• Budgeting, cost management.
• Interaction with contractors and suppliers.
• Implementation of SLA, Change Management processes.
• Preparation of reports for management.

Would be an advantage:

• Experience in telecom or large corporate infrastructurestructures.
• Experience in building or transforming IT infrastructure.
• Participation in migration, integration (M&A) projects, development of DR solutions.
• Understanding information security and compliance requirements.
