NRC began its activities in Ukraine at the end of 2014, supporting people affected by the conflict in the east of the country. We are currently increasing our efforts in Ukraine and neighboring countries to provide assistance to people forced to leave their homes due to war.

We are looking for < strong>Head of the Protection from Violence (PfV) Coordinator at the Northern Regional Office of the NRC in the city of Chernihiv.

Your duties will include:

  • Coordinating the work of the PfV team:

    • Providing oversight of team activities, planning weekly operations and monitoring performance implementation tasks.
  • Implementation of NRC protection policy:

    • Implementation of global protection standards through cooperation with management programs and support for the integration of protective mechanisms in projects.
  • Building partnerships:

    • Establishing strong working relationships with external partners in the field of protection, organization of effective referral to services, as well as NRC representation at coordination meetings.
    • Development of intersectoral coordination mechanisms in accordance with PfV strategy and Ukrainian legislation.
  • Project management:< /strong>

    • Planning and implementation of project objectives, including managing budgets, in accordance with NRC policies and internal work plans.
  • Interaction with communities:

    • Organization of meetings with interested parties, consultations with internally displaced persons, returnees and host communities.
  • Development of protection tools:

    • Creating and updating tools, guidelines and action plans to ensure integrated, secure and effective programming.
  • Key monitoring trends:

    • Regular contextual analysis in the field of protection and participation in the development of programs and strategies for responding to humanitarian challenges.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of humanitarian and protection principles
  • Experience of working in humanitarian projects or in complex and unstable conditions
  • Work experience in the field of coordination and interaction with external entities
  • Good nreporting skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Fluency in English, both written and and orally

We offer:

  • Employment contract until December 31, 2025 with the possibility of extension
  • Official salary and health insurance
  • Working schedule: 9.00-17.00, Saturday, Sunday - weekend days
