Swarmer is a Vendor-Agnostic Autonomy for Coordinated Robots. We develop AI-managed collaborative autonomy to make teams of connected drones and autonomous systems smart, efficient, and self-improving over time.

Currently we are looking for a  Head of Quality Assurance.

📌 ROLE OVERVIEW:

We’re on the lookout for a seasoned Head of QA to spearhead the quality assurance efforts for our cutting-edge product, which will be deployed on and integrated with drones from various vendors. You will be the architect of our QA strategy, ensuring that every component and system we build operates flawlessly — especially the “Win it” button.

📌 WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Set the QA Vision:
  
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive QA strategy encompassing both software and hardware, aligned with our mission-critical product requirements.
  • Ensure our products meet the highest standards in functionality, performance, security, reliability, and hardware integration.
  • Adapt QA processes to our fast-paced startup environment while maintaining top-tier quality.
• Build and Lead the Team:
  
  • Recruit, hire, and lead a highly skilled QA and field testing team with expertise in both software and hardware QA.
  • Mentor your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Drive your team to set and exceed ambitious goals, supporting their professional growth.
• Drive Testing & Validation:
  
  • Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans for both software and hardware integrations.
  • Implement automated testing frameworks and tools, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, to enhance testing efficiency and early defect detection.
  • Conduct hands-on field testing with drones in various environments to ensure optimal product performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify, document, and resolve software and hardware defects.
• Innovate and Improve:
  
  • Continuously enhance QA processes to increase efficiency and scalability as the company grows.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in QA, drone technology, hardware testing, and AI to integrate cutting-edge practices.
• Collaborate Across Teams:
  
  • Work closely with development, product, and operations teams to embed QA at every stage of the product lifecycle.
  • Act as the quality advocate within the company, ensuring the best outcomes for our product and users.

• Proven experience in  software and hardware QA , with a focus on complex systems, preferably involving drones or similar technologies.
• Certified ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) tester, with a solid understanding of testing principles and best practices.
• A  natural leader with a passion for building and mentoring high-performing teams.
• Experienced in a  startup environment , thriving in a role with ownership and significant impact.
• Hands-on , detail-oriented, and willing to dive deep into problem-solving.
• Committed to continuous improvement and innovation in QA practices .
