Head of Prototyping Department (Defense Tech) in talentC

Our partner is a fast-growing Ukrainian company in the field of defense technologies. Over the past year, the team has grown more than 2 times, with active scaling ahead. That is why we are currently looking for a head of the prototyping department.

The main duties of the position:

• Organization and management of the prototyping department
• Development of new boards/modules/solutions — from idea to finished prototype
• Assembly of custom boards, integration of components, testing
• Configuration and adaptation of firmware (Betaflight / INAV / ArduPilot - depending on the task)
• Conducting flight and technical tests of prototypes
• Preparation of technical documentation: instructions, TTX, assembly and testing processes
• Prototype to serial production support: standardization, process description, QOC/SOP creation, quality control
• Interaction with production, R&D and pilots for feedback

Required skills and qualifications:

Experience with electronics and FPV components
• Deep understanding of FC, ESC, VTX, communication systems
• Ability to describe processes and create technical documentation
• Data analysis, troubleshooting, understanding the causes of failures
• Independence, systematicity, responsibility

Will be a plus:

• Team management experience
• Experience in R&D / mass production of electronics
• Development of own solutions: boards, antennas, modules
