MAIN TASK

Under the guidance and direct supervision of a Senior Project Manager technical specialist in explosive ordnance risk training and regional manager to facilitate explosive ordnance risk training and conflict preparedness and response activities and other activities related to the reduction of armed violence. He/she controls the optimal quality and performance of his project.

In the southern representative office located in Mykolaiv, HI conducts training on the risks of explosive munitions actions and preparedness and actions during conflicts for IDPs and people planning to return home, at the community level, in the private sector and in educational institutions. The term EORE (Explosive Ordnance Risk Education) refers to activities aimed at reducing the risk of injury from exposure to explosive ordnance by disseminating knowledge about this among women, girls, boys and men according to the vulnerability of different groups, their roles and needs, as well as promoting the idea of ​​behavior change. Basic activities include dissemination of information, conducting exercises and trainings. The Conflict Preparedness and Defense Program is aimed at preparing individuals to defend themselves during an armed conflict. In addition, HI provides workshops on explosive ordnance handling and conflict preparedness and protection for humanitarian organizations, including first responders and volunteers.

Tasks and area of ​​competence

Task 1. Management:

1.1. Manages the work of other project participants and supports their field teams (specifies individual goals, evaluates the quality of the work of individuals, takes care of the professional and career development of his team members, monitors the competence of work performance).

1.2. Organizes and regularly holds meetings with the team.

1.3. Manages the hiring process and selection of new employees.

1.4. Ensure clear compliance and respect for the program's internal rules by project participants.

Task 2. Scope:

2.1. Applies his technical experience during project implementation with the support of a technical specialist.

2.2. Helps coordinate technical professional development and promotes the dissemination of practices within the community in cooperation with the gun violence risk reduction department.

2.3. Coordinates relations with authorized technical specialists, local partners or other shareholders.

Task 3. Implementation and observation:

3.1. Ensures project implementation together with relevant services according to general standards and procedures:

  • Conducts planning and approves the action plan;
  • Controls the implementation of activities in accordance with project proposals and the planned budget;
  • Controls costs and ensures compliance of budget costs with it / its activities.;
  • Controls the implementation of activities in accordance with internal technical quality standards and, if necessary, suggests ways to improve them to better achieve goals;
  • Prepares and monitors the implementation of partnership agreements with insuring and potential partners;
  • Ensures effective implementation and compliance with institutional policies (prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, mandatory interdisciplinary approaches, etc.) in the process of implementing his project;
  • Coordinates actions and cooperates with the relevant internal services, especially the departments of logistics, human resources management, finance and technical resources.

3.2. Provides a project data management process:

  • Ensures the correctness of data collection and the use of tools during the project according to global standards;
  • Ensures the collection of data related to the project and their entry into the database;
  • Regularly conducts checks and makes necessary changes to the activity database;

3.3. Provides reportingaccording to the requirements of the project:

  • Controls the implementation of results and indicators according to the logical matrix;
  • Responsible for the use relevant reporting tools: monthly current status reports, project manager templates;
  • Regularly sends reports to department heads;
  • Sends reports to financial organizations as needed and monitors the fulfillment of sponsors' requirements by the specified deadline ( grants, reporting, audits) in relation to the project;
  • Responsible for correct data archiving;

3.4. Prepares and directs project evaluation and capitalization processes:

  • Plans and monitors the project evaluation process;
  • Conducts capitalization and study of the project on practical material.

Task 4.< /b> Influence and exchange of information:

4.1. Contributes to the expansion of the HI company's external influence by participating in the work of relevant structures.

4.2. Information about the project is exchanged with partners, representatives of authorities and shareholders as necessary.

4.3. Apply internal recommendations for information exchange and contribute to improving the level of awareness of the company's strategy in the country.

Task 5.Strategy and business development:

5.1. Contributes to the development of the company's operational strategy or program (work strategy).

5.2. Makes new proposals for the project for its continuation or expansion.

5.3. Puts effort into creating new proposals to create new opportunities.

DUTIES

  • Compliance with institutional policies: Child Protection Policy, Protection from Exploitation and Sexual Harassment Policy, Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policy, Disability, Gender and Age Policy and Code of Conduct;

  • Compliance with safety rules as defined in the Safety Plan. Overall safety is related to the behavior of each individual. The behavior of each individual affects the safety of all;
  • Providing all relevant safety information to the safety project manager and immediately reporting safety incidents related to our organization;
  • Appropriate presence at work / Punctuality;
  • Availability: the team leader may be required to travel outside of their residence for extended periods of time or perform activities or tasks on weekends and holidays;

REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in education, civil protection, social work, humanitarian aid, development, or similar field.
  • Master's degree in relevant field< /li>
  • Starting in the field of presentations/trainings/pedagogy for adults and children's pedagogy

Experience

  • Experience with improvised explosive devices in the context of Explosive Ordnance Risk Assessment.
  • experience working with local/international NGOs.
