Head of innovation piloting department in Fond Shidna Evropa

The international charitable organization "Eastern Europe Foundation" within the framework of the implementation of the Swiss-Ukrainian program "Electronic governance for government accountability and community participation (EGAP)" announces a competitive selection for the position of head of the department piloting innovations for joint projects in the field of state technologies together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

We are looking for a leader who will lead the direction of piloting innovations and help spread new vectors of Ukraine's development on the world stage. This role involves cooperation with government institutions, venture funds, scientific institutions and the startup ecosystem to create unique opportunities for a technological breakthrough in Ukraine.

About the project: Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) from the World Economic Forum brings together governments, businesses and experts to implement innovative solutions. 

The goal of the center: to support digital transformation by creating policies that promote the development of new technologies with global impact. It connects national GovTech ecosystems with a global network of experts to promote more efficient, effective and accessible public services. This is a unique opportunity to join global initiatives that change the world and implement projects that are important for Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

• development and implementation of a strategy for piloting innovative projects in cooperation with state institutions, venture funds and scientific institutions;
• establishing cooperation with international partners in the field of GovTech for the exchange of knowledge and technologies;
• validation of advanced state technologies and other innovations through pilot projects implemented in Ukraine;
• launch and development of Centers of Advanced Experience (AI, Edtech, Defense Tech, Semiconductors, BioTech, Green Tech, AUV) to attract world technologies and innovations in Ukraine;
• creating an ecosystem for cooperation with investors, entrepreneurs and researchers through the implementation of joint projects and research;
• development of innovative strategies based on current market research and trends;
• supporting the innovative ecosystem of Ukraine, creating conditions for experiments, research and development of startups;
• organizing and holding official meetings with partners to establish cooperation.

• deep understanding of global trends in the field of GovTech and innovation;
• experience in managing complex projects, ability to effectively coordinate the work of various teams;
• ability to develop long-term innovation development strategies and identify opportunities for their implementation;
• knowledge of modern market research and analytical reports, the ability to apply them in practical activities;
• experience of cooperation with venture capital funds, startups or other innovative organizations;
• high level of English language (B2+ general, C1 conversational);
• developed strategic thinking and organizational skills, result orientation . 

Would be an advantage:

• experience in management of innovation, R&D or operations;
• master's degree in economics, sociology, informatics, finance or relevant field ;
• work experience in a project financed by international donors or an implementing partner.
