Head of FLAT in ACTED

The Head of FLAT East (Position based in Dnipro) is responsible for the management of the FLAT departments (Finance, Logistics & IT, Administration/HR, Transparency/Compliance) in Southeast and Northeast areas.

The Head of FLAT is a member of the senior management team and works to support operational implementation. The Head of FLAT directly supervises departments at the area level, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations and delivery of programs, in collaboration with the area coordinators, according to ACTED's global strategy, donor guidelines, approved work plans and budgets. 

OBJECTIVES

1. Facilitate the creation of an enabling and productive working environment through internal communication and coordination at the area level

2. Ensure the timely and quality implementation of projects in the areas of operation

3. Anticipate and mitigate risks ensuring operations in the areas are compliant with ACTED finance, logistics, administration/HR, transparency and security (FLATS) procedures

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.1. Staff Management

a) Ensure that all FLAT staff in the areas understand and are able to perform their roles and responsibilities related to areas operations and link with the capital Head of Departments.

b) Promote team building, productivity and staff welfare.

c) Mentor and support the team to build capacities, and improve efficiency and performance, and follow career management.

d) Manage interpersonal conflicts among staff at the area level.

2.2. Internal Coordination

a) Facilitate interdepartmental communication and information sharing for a positive working environment.

b) Ensure implementation of ACTED coordination mechanisms at area level (lead FLAT meeting, attend and contribute to WAM).

c) Support the review of policies, propose adaptation to the areas' context, conduct changes.
