Geophysicist/Geologist in EPAM

We are seeking a geophysicist to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for seismic image interpretation and should have a degree in geology, geophysics or a related field.  The position requires knowledge of IT tools and software, great attention to detail. The project lasts 3-6 months, with the potential for extension.

Responsibilities:

• Interpretation of seismic images
• Independent work on assigned tasks
• Providing advice to less experienced team members
• Adapting to changes in project requirements

Requirements:

• Degree in Geology, Geophysics or related field
• Experience interpreting seismic images
• Experience with Python image processing
• Excellent time management skills
• High problem solving skills
• Ability to advise and mentor less experienced team members
• Adaptability to changes in project requirements< /li>
• Attention to details
• High level of English language proficiency (level B1+/B2 or higher)

Preferred:< /p>

• Previous experience in a similar position in the oil and gas industry
• Advanced certifications in geophysics or related fields
• Experience with seismic interpretation software
