General Ledger Specialist in CKH CPAs & Advisors

Description:

We are a growing accounting firm seeking a General Ledger Specialist to join our General Ledger Team. 

The successful candidate will assume end-to-end responsibility for general ledger accounting for a portfolio of four legal entities, ensuring accurate records, timely reporting, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.

This position is ideal for a hands-on accountant with a solid understanding of accounting principles, who is comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with auditors, the wider GL Team, and internal stakeholders.

We will trust you to:

• Manage end-to-end general ledger accounting for assigned entities

• Prepare, post, and review accruals, provisions, and recurring and non-recurring journal entries

• Perform bank postings and cash-related accounting activities, including support of cash flow reporting

• Conduct balance sheet reviews and analyses, providing clear explanations of account movements and balances

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies

• Monitor accounting activities across entities to ensure accuracy and consistency

• Prepare high-quality documentation and structured responses to audit requests

• Provide active support during internal and external audits

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company procedures

• Contribute accounting insights and recommendations relating to entity-level changes and transactions

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of professional experience in accounting; general ledger experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting processes

• Proven experience with:

  • Accruals and journal entries

  • Balance sheet reconciliations

  • Account analysis

• Ability to analyze financial data and clearly communicate accounting movements and variances

• Experience liaising with auditors or external parties

• Very good command of English (B2 or higher, written and spoken)

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership within a team-based environment

Nice to have:

• Experience with SAP 

• Background in an accounting firm or shared services center

• Knowledge of US GAAP
