The Ukrainian charitable foundation "Voices of Children" announces a competition for the position of Egender and inclusion expert
The "Voices of Children" charitable foundation is a Ukrainian foundation, which grew out of a volunteer initiative in 2015 in Eastern Ukraine. Our mission is to inspire and support children, to create conditions for children's voices to be heard, to support their resilience in the conditions of war. The foundation realizes its mission and aims to become effective , a stable and recognizable institution in the field of child support. We are announcing a vacancy for a gender and inclusion expert to provide services for the requirements of the Project "Integrated response to ensure inclusive education and protection of children and the most vulnerable sections of the population affected by the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine", financed by AICS (Italian Agency for Development Cooperation) and implemented by the "Voices of Children" charity fund with the support of the "Tree of Life - Ukraine" charity fund
Gender and Inclusion Expert will take on an important role in the promotion of gender equality, educational work on the prevention of gender-based violence and support of social inclusion.
Responsibilities:
Development of a plan of educational sessions for children and adults on the types, forms and methods of identifying and preventing gender-based violence during armed conflicts, addressing gender-specific needs and promoting a more inclusive environment;
Conducting educational sessions according to the developed plans in two regions (Chernivetska, Kyiv regions);
Continuous monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of implemented measures, analysis of collected data to provide advice on adjustments and improvements in the planning of measures to promote diversity and inclusion;
Collaborate with field teams to create a culture of inclusion and increase awareness of gender equality, specific needs, vulnerabilities and threats;
Participation in the formation, review, evaluation of the fund's policies, taking into account aspects of gender diversity and inclusiveness, as well as providing recommendations for their improvement in accordance with humanitarian standards.
Requirements:
Higher education, preferably in a relevant field (eg gender studies, social sciences, humanities sciences, international development);
2+ years of relevant professional experience (in particular, experience in conducting trainings, educational sessions or other educational activities for children and adults);
Attention to detail, strong communication, analytical and skillsand problem solving;
Previous work experience in a non-governmental organization is an advantage.
