About the job

We are looking for a Game Localizator/Translator specializing in Ukrainian and English to enhance the quality of our game’s translations and help us to deliver a flawless experience to our Ukrainian-speaking players. 

Developing MMO games is very challenging. In our view it is as much rewarding. We want to find someone who shares our passion for challenge and excellence to enjoy this path together.

This is a temporary position.

Responsibilities

• Review and check automated translations from English to Ukrainian, ensuring linguistic and cultural accuracy

• Provide linguistic feedback and suggestions to improve the automated translation system, teaching it best practices for Ukrainian

• Ensure in-game text and player interactions are translated seamlessly into Ukrainian, maintaining the game's tone and style

• Maintain a glossary of game-specific terms and ensure consistent terminology across all translations

Requirements

• Fluent in Ukrainian with strong proficiency in English

• Degree in linguistics, translation studies, or a related field

• Experience with automated translation systems or machine translation post-editing

• Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading and editing skills

• Familiarity with localization processes, particularly for video games

• Passion for gaming, with a deep understanding of gaming culture

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines 

Will be a plus

• Experience working on localization projects for games or similar industries

• Knowledge of other languages or experience working in multilingual environments
