We create mobile and desktop games, introduce new mechanics, develop the economy of game worlds and analyze player behavior.
We are currently expanding the game design team and are looking for an attentive and analytical Game Balancer who will be responsible for the balance, logic and mathematical part of game systems.
We will consider candidates without experience or students - we will teach approaches, format, analytics and tools. (Perfect start for those who love games and want to work with their mechanics)
Responsibilities
1. Balance of game systems
Adjustment of level difficulty, rate of progression and any growth curves.
Analysis of interaction between characters, items, abilities, resources.
Checking the effectiveness of the game economy and internal currencies.
Calculation of numerical parameters (chance, speed, power, cost, timers).
2. Working with the game economy
Building models of player income and expenses.
Determination of optimal rewards, purchase values and internal resources.
Formation of currency progression system and balance maintenance.
3. Analysis of game statistics
Processing of data on player behavior (Retention, DAU, evaluation of levels, etc.).
Identification of gameplay problem areas.
Preparation of conclusions and suggestions for improvement.
4. Game mechanics testing
Checking balance changes on real and test builds.
Identifying bugs, imbalances and wrong parameters.
Working with QA and game designers to correct values.
5. Documentation
Creation of balance sheets, statistical models and econ-documents.
Maintenance of balance sheets, parametric sheets, internal notes.
Description of the logic of changes for the team.
6. Collaboration with game designers
Participation in brainstorms and discussions of new mechanics.
Working on updates together with programmers, artists and analysts.
Presentation of proposals to the team.
Requirements
Analytical thinking, ability to work with numbers and patterns.
Understanding the basic principles of game design or game mechanics.
Ability to work with Google Sheets/Excel.
Attention to details and a structured approach.
Interest in games and the desire to influence their logic.
We will consider candidates without experience or students.
An advantage will be:
Understanding economic models in F2P games.
Experience in creating or modifying games (even amateur ones).
Basic skills in working with analytical tools.
Ability to maintain large tables and work in numbers.

Salary 33,000 - 38,000 UAH
Full time, schedule 9:30–19:00, Mon–Fri
