You will leverage your extensive experience in modern frontend frameworks—React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript—to deliver exceptional customer experiences that integrate seamlessly with API-first, headless SaaS, and Composable Commerce solutions. You will collaborate with a best-in-class team of interaction designers, product owners, strategists, engineers, and solution architects in fast-paced, innovative, and highly collaborative environments. By embracing cloud-native approaches, composable architectures, and headless integrations (e.g., with Scayle, Shopify, commercetools, SFCC, Contentful, Amplience, etc.), you will push the boundaries of frontend development to deliver performant, elegant, and user-centric eCommerce solutions. Part of your role will be to grow and nurture a best-in-class front-end practice. You will mentor front-end developers, advocate best practices, stay on top of cutting-edge front-end trends, and share your knowledge with the broader team—fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.In this role, you will get toImplement robust, enterprise-level eCommerce frontends with React, ensuring strong performance and maintainability.Collaborate closely with Technical Director, Project Managers, Solution Architects, Engineers, and Designers to plan and support technical deliveries on client projects.Create proofs of concept to demonstrate new techniques or solve complex problems, guiding other engineers toward best practices and higher-quality output.Play an assisting role in presales efforts, from participating in client discussions to helping craft technical solutions and proposals.Advocate for high-quality testing, documentation, and continuous improvement, keeping your finger on the pulse of what’s next in front-end development.Serve as a mentor and thought leader, driving the adoption of best practices, encouraging professional growth, and nurturing a cohesive, high-performing frontend team.Your Skills And QualificationsMinimum of five years working with React, Next.js (or alternative), TypeScript, and Node.js, with a deep understanding of the surrounding ecosystem.Expertise in HTML and CSS (SCSS), along with frameworks like Tailwind for efficient styling.Experience writing modern JavaScript (ES6+), alongside familiarity with ES5 for legacy support.Competence using build tools like Vite, Webpack, or Rollup, and proficiency in Jest or similar testing frameworks.Comfortable handling formats such as JSON, CSV, and XML, and an avid Git user for version control.Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor frontend teams, with strong organizational and motivational skills.Confident communicator in English (written and verbal), able to present technical concepts to a range of audiences.Good to haveExposure to alternative frontend stacks such as Vue/Nuxt would be a strong advantage.Comfortable with component-driven development (e.g., Storybook) and atomic design principles.Able to design frontend solutions and produce supporting documentation for development teams.Background working with geographically distributed teams, especially on international projects.Familiar with Agile and Scrum approaches to software delivery.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A supportive and inclusive work environment.The chance to make a significant impact in a dynamic organization.Astound Digital is an equal-opportunity employer.
