Front-End Engineer (React Native / React / Next.js) in Hivex

Hivex is looking for a Front-End Engineer to take ownership of multiple front-end systems across web and mobile. This is a JavaScript and TypeScript-heavy role ideal for someone who thrives in an independent, startup-like environment and wants to play a key role in building great products that people use every day. 

Requirements: 

• 1.5+ years of experience with React Native and React/Next.js in a production setting

• Solid understanding of TypeScript and JavaScript fundamentals

• Experience with Firebase and/or MongoDB

• A strong sense of product and user experience

• Level of English B2

• Ownership mindset — you ship, test, and improve your own work

• Have strong experience building front-end applications with React and/or React Native

• Know your way around TypeScript, and understand how it works under the hood

• Are comfortable working independently but know when to ask questions or pull in others

• Enjoy ownership — from brainstorming to shipping and iteration

• Have opinions about architecture, performance, and user experience — and back them up with action

• Can communicate clearly and collaborate effectively in a remote setting

Responsibilities: 

• Own the development of our React Native iOS app, React web interfaces, and Next.js projects

• Collaborate with our small and nimble team to plan, design, build, and ship features

• Identify issues in our current systems and propose improvements — your ideas are always welcome

• Work across Firebase and MongoDB to integrate and consume data effectively

• Make thoughtful decisions about architecture and component design

• Be hands-on in shipping clean, maintainable code that makes an impact

• A Mac computer (Required for XCode Building/Testing)

• An iPhone (our main app is iOS-first)
