Freelance Senior WordPress Developer - Remote in House Buyers of America, Inc.

House Buyers of America is looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to assist on an ad-hoc project basis. This role is fully REMOTE!• Develop and resolve complex issues of a website• Optimize the site for SEO, speed, performance and responsivenessAbout You:• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.• Proven 10+ years of work experience as a WordPress developer.• 2+ years of JavaScript experience• Experience working with front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.• Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, BitBucket, and SVN.• Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.• Experience working with third party API integrations like Google Maps, Places, CRM etc.• Experience working with WordPress plugins like Gravity forms etc.• Experience developing SEO friendly website architecture.• Experience working with SEO tools.• Experience launching sites with cloud services like SiteGround, AWS.• Knowledge of backend like PHP, NodeJs etc.• Understanding of MySQL, MongoDB databases.• Experience in site optimization for speed and performance.• Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)• Designing and implementing new features and functionality• Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS• Understanding of website security• Ability to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.• Good communication skills.House Buyers of America is a residential real estate investment company founded in 2001 and headquartered in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
