Position Title: Financial Director

The Yashchenko Foundation’s primary mission is to provide essential support to communities across Ukraine facing significant challenges. Our programs are tailored to assist the most vulnerable members of society. This includes frontline humanitarian aid delivery aimed at ensuring a sustainable supply of nutrition, medication, WASH and reconstruction supplies to those most in need. We also offer evacuation services for individuals seeking to leave frontline areas, working to ensure sufficient quantities of blood donors to support hospitals nationwide, provide assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) as they rebuild their lives, furnish hospitals and rehabilitation centres with medical supplies and equipment, and construct bomb shelters for schools in border communities to facilitate their reopening.
Key Responsibilities:
Acts as the legal Director of the Foundation under Ukrainian Law.
Ensures the foundation operates in accordance with Ukrainian legislation, including the Civil Code, Tax Code, and the Law on Charitable Activities and Charitable Organizations.
Manages the Foundation’s budget in Ukraine, and ensures financial accountability.
Organizes the financial activities of the Foundation.
Manages the development of quarterly and annual budgeting.
Participates in the preparation of plans for the implementation of projects and planned tasks.
Ensures timely payment of supplier invoices, documentation within established deadlines for financial and banking transactions, and payment of salaries to employees, and other recurring costs.
Ensures timely preparation and submission of established financial reports.
Collaborates with the Head of the Mission and Deputy Head of Mission in the development and implementation of programmes and initiatives that align with the Foundation’s mission and meet the needs of the communities we serve.
Ensures the Foundation’s operations are in full compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Serves as a member of the Executive Team.
Qualifications/Skills & Requirements:
Minimum three years experience in non-profit sector.
Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, financial analysis.
Proficiency in spoken and written Ukrainian and English (level B2) is essential.
Strong knowledge of current legislation of Ukraine and regulatory acts regulating the activities of the enterprise, including labor law.
Understanding of methods of planning and organizing the financial activities of the organization.
Expertise in using relevant software such as Excel and accounting programs.

The main mission of the "Yashchenko" Charitable Foundation is to provide the necessary support to communities throughout Ukraine. Our programs are aimed at to help the most vulnerable.This includes providing humanitarian assistance on the front lines to ensure sustained access to food, medicine, WASH and recovery materials to those most in need.
We also offer evacuation services to those who who want to leave the zones hostilities, we work to secure enough blood donors to support hospitals across the country, help internally displaced persons (IDPs) rebuild their lives, supply medical supplies and equipment to hospitals and rehabilitation centers, and build bomb shelters for schools in border communities , to help them get back to work.
Main duties:
Performs the functions of the official director of the Fund in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.
Ensures the activities of the Fund in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine, taking into account the Civil Code, the Tax Code and the Law on Charitable Activities and Charitable Organizations.
Manages the Fund's budget in Ukraine and provides financial reporting.
Manages the development of quarterly and annual budgets.
Participates in the preparation of project implementation plans and planned tasks, activities.
Ensures timely payment of supplier invoices, processing of documentstations in the established terms for financial and banking operations, payment of wages to employees and other necessary expenses.
Ensures timely preparation and submission of prescribed financial reports.
Cooperates with the Head of the Mission and the Deputy Head of the Mission in the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that correspond to the mission of the "Yashchenko" Charitable Foundation and satisfy the needs of the population.
Ensures full compliance of the Fund's operations with legislative, regulatory and ethical standards.
Qualifications/Skills and requirements:< /span>
Minimum of three years of experience in the non-commercial sector.
Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial analysis.
Fluency in spoken and written Ukrainian and English (level B2).
In-depth knowledge of the current legislation of Ukraine and regulatory acts regulating the activities of organizations, including labor law.
Understanding methods of planning and organizing financial activities of the organization.
Experience with relevant software such as Excel and accounting programs.
