Veteran Hub since 2018 has been supporting veterans during their return to civilian life. After the full-scale Russian invasion, many of them took up arms again, and wewe began to take care of their families and relatives.
We are currently looking for a qualified financial director who (- a) will lead the financial direction of the organization. This is a key management role that involves active participation in strategic development, engagement with donors, budget control and management of the finance team.
Qualification requirements:< /span>
experience as a financial director; < /span>
work experience in governmental or non-governmental organizations will be an advantage;
work experience in analytical centers will be preference;
higher professional education in Accounting and Auditing, other financial areas;
knowledge of specialized software: BAS, Vchasno, Google Sheets, MS Excel;
experience in data management and project documentation;
ability to meet deadlines;
ability to describe the situation, document information and draw conclusions;
negotiation experience;
mandatory fluency in Ukrainian and English;
knowledge of Ukrainian legislation, according to competencies;
understanding the format of operational work of charitable non-profit organizations;
willingness to develop the direction and work with a large team of the organization, building the competencies of the organization, in accordance with the best practices of the implementing organizations;
basic knowledge of accounting
Functional Responsibilities:
Management
Participation in the strategic and operational management of the organization together with the chairman of the board and directors of the organization;
Development of the direction, in accordance with the development plans of the organization;
Development and updating of policies, regulations, instructions, orders related to the financial director's area of responsibility;
Development of direction business processes and interaction with related teams;
Management of a division of 8 employees: financial manager, accounting, lawyers, procurement manager, personnel inspector;
Selection of auditing companies for auditing, direct participation inconducting an audit.
Budgeting
Participation in the organization's budget planning and development plans ;
Budgeting current projects;" : none"> Budgeting of new projects together with the partnership department and other specialists.
Interaction with donors and partners
Participation in the preparation of grant applications;
Formation of funding applications;
Communication with donors regarding financial issues of projects;
Control of contracts in the financial part;
Participation in the selection of sub-grants, checking and approval of financial statements for sub-grants;
Financial reporting on projects in accordance with the requirements of donors, independently or with the involvement of a financial manager, depending on the project.
Operational activity
Project cost tracking, plan-fact analysis;
Control of spending on permissibility and budget restrictions taking into account the restrictions of Ukrainian legislation;
Distribution of costs between projects;
Control of payments, signing payments in the bank;
Foreign exchange transactions, work with the bank on currency;
Control of the formation of the staffing schedule by projects;
Control of calculation, payment of wages for projects, signing of payments in the bank;
Control of the inventory, participation in its design;
Control and verification of supplier selections, approval of selections.
