CHARITY ORGANIZATION "CHARITY FOUNDATION "DEPOL UKRAINE" has been operating since 2007, providing services to marginalized population groups through a number of programs. In connection with the invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, the FOUND expanded the amount of aid for those who suffered from the war, lost their housing, were left without means of livelihood, for people who acquired the status of IDPs and were forced to move to safer cities of our country. 

In 2023, we supported more than 100,000 people, providing services in the protection, shelter, cash, food and livelihoods sectors. Our programs range from multi-purpose assistance centers in large cities to specialized psychological support groups for children and adults working in rural areas; from housing projects for highly vulnerable people to emergency response programs that deliver critical aid to frontline communities. Our organization specializes in supporting homeless people, and in all our programs the priority is to provide help and services to hard-to-reach communities and people who other organizations cannot or do not want to help. DEPOL UKRAINE is a member of the international Depaul Group, which unites charitable organizations for homeless people.

The FOUNDATION also protects children, vulnerable adults and any other persons from any harm caused directly or indirectly as a result of their contact with "DEPOL UKRAINE".

    Duties of a Financial Analyst:

     Financial Analyst is a position in the financial service that supports both UK and Ukraine finance functions, program teams and other stakeholders in:

     Preparation and interpretation of monthly management reporting.

    Execution of budgeting activities, forecasting and management accounting.

    Provide financial support to central and regional program teams and other functions by providing timely and accurate reports, meaningful comments and advice.

    Support in budget development, working with national and international program colleagues on the development of financial models.

    Preparation of sponsor reports, comparison of data from international subsidiaries.

    Contribute to the continuous improvement of procedures and processes of the financial team.

     Reporting and analysis

    Participate in the development of monthly management reporting, creation and use in cooperation with the regionby Depaul Ukraine's chief accountants.

    Ensure timely provision of financial management information, including description, variance analysis, forecasts, cash flow reports and key performance indicators for Depaul Ukraine senior management, budget managers, procurement team, Supervisory board, Depaul International and other stakeholders.

    Prepare financial statements for donors, working with national and international program funding colleagues.

    Control expenditure of restricted funds and alert the budget owner and other relevant stakeholders about potential overspends/underspends, and maintain a register of grants and contracts.

    Prepare periodic analysis of key performance/cost indicators.

      Advice and support

    Assist budget managers and other stakeholders with the interpretation of management reporting

    Provide financial advice and support to regional teams and other stakeholders and ensure that budgetary implications of projects are understood and considered appropriately.

    Apply financial knowledge, financial advice and guidance to budget managers on financial policies, procedures and best practice, including challenging and influencing opinions and current practice.

     Budgeting and development

    Work closely with the financial directors of Depaul Ukraine and the program directors of Depaul Ukraine and Depaul International in the preparation of the annual and long-term budget of the charitable organization.

    < p>Help budget managers prepare their budgets and assist them in the appropriate step-by-step formation of budgets by providing document templates.

    Consolidate regional budgets into the general budget of the Charitable Foundation, make changes when adjusting budgets.

     < strong>Financial Systems and Controls

    Support in the creation and review of financial policies, controls and procedures

    Support in conducting due diligence assessments and activities by external sponsors and

    Partners.

    Audit

    Work closely with external auditors, ensuring the provision of supporting documents and evidence of information when necessary.

    Participate in internal project audits as necessary, including conducting spot checks.

     Other Responsibilities

    Provide support and cover to other team members, when necessary.

    Participate in departmental meetings with other divisions of the organization to provide input into financial management.

    Perform duties as assigned to cover other financial work.

    Assist in training staff in financial management and other relevant

    tasks related to the position.

    < strong>We are considering candidates from the city of Kharkiv and/or candidates who during the war temporarily live in other cities, but plan to return to the city of Kharkiv.

    Expectations from the candidate:< /strong>

    Higher education

    Work experience from 3 years, will be an advantage in the humanitarian sector from 1.

    Knowledge of finance in the charity sector and Ukrainian financial/ charitable law.

    Mandatory knowledge of MS Excel at an above average level and experience with tables.

    Experience in creating a database will be an advantage.

    Developed logical thinking, pedantry and attentiveness when working with tables.

    Excellent financial skills, including the preparation, analysis and interpretation of financial information to aid decision making.

    Good communication skills, both verbal and written

    Ability to clearly explain financial matters to those with little knowledge and /or experience in finance.

    Ability and willingness to multi-task or take on new tasks at short notice in response to organizational demands.

    Excellent attention to detail.

    Respect for staff and customers within the organization and external partners.

    High respect for privacy and data protection.

    Excellent communication skills, motivated, reliable, diligent worker, ready time from time to work after hours. 

    Fluency in the Ukrainian language. 

    Proficiency in English at the Intermediate level and above will be an advantage.< /u>

    WE OFFER:

    Official employment, work under a fixed-term employment contract until February 28, 2025.

    Trial period 3 months

    Work schedule: 8-hour working day from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Weekends: Saturday, Sunday.

    The place of work is geographically located at the address: Str. Kostelna, 15 m. KharkivAnnual leave 24 calendar days, in case of benefits, additional leave is granted in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.

    Monthly salary is determined based on the results of the interview.
