Position Description:
The Field Assistant will work directly with representatives of local communities in Zaporizhzhya Oblast and to support the selection process of beneficiaries and the distribution of seeds and toolkits for working on the land to these beneficiaries. This role involves communicating with beneficiaries living in rural areas, organizing logistics and ensuring a fair and transparent distribution process. The Field Assistant will also maintain documentation and work closely with other team members to meet the needs of the communities where the project will take place.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and selecting appropriate beneficiaries to participate in program activities.
- Close coordination with local authorities and relevant cluster partners to ensure coherence of efforts.
- Assist in distribution of seeds and toolkits to beneficiaries following organized procedures.
- Conduct visits to served households and monitor progress and results.
- Prepare internal reports and trackers to monitor project progress.
- Communicate any potential problems or challenges to management, including the program director.
- Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, suppliers, beneficiaries and the general public.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently in the Zaporozhye region.

- Experience of working in an NGO with rural households and communities.
- Willingness to travel to rural areas for direct interaction with project beneficiaries.
- Knowledge of vegetable growing is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and openness to effective collaboration.
- Ability to take initiative, solve problems independently and work with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and adaptability to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Competence in completing internal reports accurately and on time.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license and availability of personal transportation for trips to work sites; travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or special secondary education.
< li>Experience of working with the rural population, elderly people, IDPs, vulnerable population groups affected by the war.
Language
Obov required knowledge of the Ukrainian language, knowledge of English languages will be an advantage. Ability to read and understand documents in English and Ukrainian. Ability to compile current reports and conduct correspondence in Ukrainian and English.
Work schedule:
8:30-17:00, MON-FRI
