Ukrainian Network for Children's Rights (hereinafter - UMPD) was created to consolidate efforts and improve coordination between civil society organizations in Ukraine and their influence on state policy in the field of ensuring children's rights.

The purpose of the activity of an expert in the analysis of instruments and legislation in the field of gender equality and inclusion:Conducting a comprehensive analysis of existing international and national instruments, as well as the legislative framework of Ukraine to assess the extent to which policies, programs and services are gender-sensitive and inclusive for different groups of children, with the further formation of an analytical basis for the development of the project's Gender and Inclusion Marker.

Responsibilities:

  • conducting an analysis of international and national tools for assessing gender sensitivity and inclusiveness of policies, programs and services;
  • analysis of approaches to gender mainstreaming, gender analysis and impact assessment of policies;
  • conducting a review of the legislation of Ukraine in the field of gender equality, non-discrimination and children's rights;
  • assessment of compliance of national legislation with international standards (UN, EU);
  • identification of gaps and challenges in the legal and political regulation of gender equality and inclusion;
  • analysis of criteria, indicators and approaches to assessing the gender sensitivity and inclusiveness of policies and services;
  • summarization of approaches to consideration the diversity of children (age, gender, disability, social status, etc.);
  • analysis of approaches to the collection and use of disaggregated data;
  • preparation of analytical materials, generalizations and conclusions based on the results of the analysis;
  • development of recommendations for the formation of the Gender and Inclusive Marker of the project;
  • participation in working meetings with the project team and involved experts;
  • fulfillment of other tasks within the framework of project implementation related to analytical support.

List of requirements for the candidate:

  • higher education in the field of law, social sciences, public administration or in related fields;
  • experience in analyzing legislation, policies or programs (policy/legal analysis);
  • understanding approaches to gender equality, inclusion and children’s rights;
  • knowledge of international standards in the field of human rights and children’s rights (UN, EU);
  • experience in working with gender analysis tools, policy impact assessment or similar approaches - an advantage;
  • ability to work with large volumes of information, systematize and summarize data;
  • developed analytical and systemic thinking;
  • ability to formulate clear conclusions and practical recommendations;
  • ability to prepare structured analytical materials in understandable language without excessive complexity;
  • attentionattention to detail and responsibility for the quality of the result;
  • ability to interact effectively with the team and involved experts;
  • high level of written and spoken Ukrainian;
  • knowledge of English for working with international sources is an advantage.

Working conditions:

  • UMPD concludes a contract for the provision of services with a natural person-entrepreneur of the 3rd group;
  • partly remote work: work online, work in the office, business trips within Ukraine;
