Equipment selection engineer / PUMP Application Specialist in Grundfos / Grundfos

In this position, you will apply subject matter knowledge to provide accurate and timely technical quotations, information, advice, and assistance regarding the organization’s products and services to the internal and external customers, to maintain and improve the organization’s customer relationships.      

Your main responsibilities:

• Handling relevant customer interactions including but not limited to product selection and quotations.
• Communication with customers and clients (via email, phone, online discussion boards) to answer their technical questions, assess their needs, and suggest or promote alternative products or services
• Preparing tender submissions and specifications to customers
• Preparing comparisons with and resizing of the competitors' equipment
• Working with External Sales team and Supply Chain to ensure customers’ requirements are identified and met.       

Your background:

We expect that you have: 

• Advanced knowledge of pumps and their applications
• Technical aptitude, bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, hydraulic or related
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience (technical consultant, designer, mechanical engineer)
• Comfortable level of English for understanding technical brochures, and systems like SAP
• Curiosity and ability to the learning
• Positive and innovative approach to work
