POSITION: Enumerator / Data Collector (MEAL)
WeWorld is looking for Enumerators/Data Collectors for its MEAL Department in Kyiv
Duty station: Kyiv (applicants must reside in Kyiv)
Position/Contract type: On-demand / Daily worker
Contract modality: FOP (KVED code 73.20 – Market research and public opinion polling)
Salary range: 2,500 UAH per day
Starting date: On demand, according to project needs
WeWorld Background
WeWorld is an INGO working across 27 countries and is part of ChildFund Alliance. WeWorld has a long-term experience in implementing multi-sectorial responses emergencies (e.g., Syria, Palestine, Haiti, Mali). In Ukraine WeWorld has been providing multi-sectoral lifesaving assistance in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv Oblasts, and in newly liberated areas leveraging on existing partnership and capacity to timely identify and respond to needs. WeWorld offices are so far established in Kyiv and Kharkiv.
The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) system at WeWorld ensures the effectiveness and impact of programs by systematically tracking project activities and collecting high-quality qualitative and quantitative data. The MEAL team supports country programs, accountability to affected populations, coordination with implementing partners, and contributes to grant management, reporting, and proposal development.
Purpose of the Role
Under the supervision of the MEAL Officer, the Enumerator/Data Collector will be responsible for conducting data collection activities related to needs assessments and monitoring. Data collection may include door-to-door interviews, in-person interviews, phone interviews, and remote data collection.
This position is on-demand and not linked to a permanent role. Selected candidates will be included in WeWorld’s Pool of Enumerators/Data Collectors and contacted when data collection activities are required. Enumerators/Data Collectors will comply with local labor laws and regulations applicable to short-term or temporary employment.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect qualitative and/or quantitative data according to assignments provided by the MEAL Officer.
- Conduct data collection activities using various methodologies, including household surveys, key informant interviews (KIIs), focus group discussions (FGDs), and participant observation.
- Use mobile data collection tools (e.g. Kobo ToolBox, Microsoft Forms, Google Forms, Survey123) to ensure accuracy and data quality.
- Ensure ethical data collection standards, including informed consent and confidentiality.
- Interact respectfully and effectively with vulnerable populations.
- Ensure timely submission of collected data and report any challenges encountered during fieldwork.
-Follow WeWorld MEAL guidelines, tools, and protocols throughout the data collection process.
JOB SPECIFICATIONSESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Knowledge
- Residency in Kyiv (applications from other oblasts will not be considered).
- Ukrainian language – mandatory.
- English language – considered an asset.
- Minimum High School diploma; BA/BSc degree is an advantage.
Professional Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in qualitative and/or quantitative data collection in humanitarian settings.
- Proven experience using mobile data collection software (especially Kobo ToolBox).
- Experience with qualitative research methodologies (FGDs, KIIs, participant observation).
- Experience working with vulnerable communities.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Respect for humanitarian principles and ethical standards.
