Engineering Lead in Smartist

We are searching for a talented and experienced Lead Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development and execution of our technical vision. You will be responsible for both building and mentoring, guiding the growth of our engineering team while driving the creation of high-quality software products.

🤹 What you’ll do:

• Lead the development process from ideation to implementation, ensuring technical feasibility and architectural soundness.
• Architect and develop complex, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using React Native, React JS, Django, Python, and Postgres.
• Manage and deploy applications on AWS infrastructure, leveraging expertise in Kubernetes.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (design, product, etc.) to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Foster a positive and collaborative engineering culture, mentoring engineers and promoting knowledge sharing.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends, continuously improving the development process and team practices.

🏅 What you’ll need:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior engineering role.
• Proven experience in building and deploying full-stack applications with a focus on React Native, React JS, Django, and Python/Postgres.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud services and experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a passion for building high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Open-source contributions or a strong personal development portfolio.
