About us

The German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Ukraine) is part of the global network of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (AHK), which has 150 offices in 93 countries the world The organization was founded in Kyiv in 2016 and since then supports Ukrainian and German companies in the development of international business and serves as an important platform for bilateral economic exchange.

The newly created Rebuild Ukraine Team aims to involve the German business community in the process of rebuilding Ukraine and contribute to the post-war recovery of the economy. We offer our members information, experience and opinions through committees, advocacy, up-to-date information through our information products, networking events and meetings. Since the energy sector and its recovery is crucial for the recovery of Ukraine, we want to strengthen our team with an expert in the field of energy and renewable energy sources.

The work will involve a lot of communication with energy companies from Ukraine and Germany, coordination of the work of the energy committee , as well as research and analysis in the sector.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and analysis of Ukrainian and international programs and projects for recovery in the energy sector
• Analysis of the Ukrainian energy market and the renewable energy market
• Preparation of short reports and analytical materials on the current situation on the energy market and restoration of critical energy infrastructure
• Writing energy reviews for topical topics for the Association's member companies
• Consulting German companies on opportunities to enter the Ukrainian market
• Coordination of the work of the energy committee: preparation of materials, involvement of external experts, organization of hybrid meetings, drafting of meeting protocols and communication with the head of the committee
• Communication with international energy organizations, donor platforms, IFIs and partners
• Analysis of international financing programs for Ukrainian and German companies within the framework of GIZ, WB, EBRD, USAID and other programs
• Representing the interests of the Ukrainian energy sector and Association member companies in the international arena - participation in international exhibitions and conferences

Qualification

• Higher technical/engineering/economic education
• Freehold in English and Ukrainian languages
• German will be a definite advantage
• At least 2 years of work experience in the energy sector/company or in consulting energy companies
• Experience of working with international organizations
• Openness in communication with foreign partners and negotiation skills
