Assignment

Under operational and technical guidance of the Project Coordinator on Emergency Livelihoods is responsible for ensuring proper implementation of ACTED's emergency livelihoods projects in Sumy Oblast. 


OBJECTIVE 

To ensure the project(- s) under his/her responsibility is (are) implemented in a timely, appropriate and professional manner, according to objectives, goals and indicators, in line with donor requirements and responding to the actual needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Project Planning
  • Contribute to the development of project implementation strategy, systems, methodologies, approaches, tools, and materials. 
  • Participate in the planning processes of project implementation.
  • Prioritize and organize activities and allocate resources in an optimal way to achieve project objectives.
  1. Project Implementation
  • Act as a focal point on project implementation for partners and authorities at local level.
  • Lead on organization and conduct of outreach sessions, meetings and other relevant events with target communities, audiences, partners and local authorities.
  • Participate in the identification, assessment and verification processes for beneficiary selection for activities under the projects, including grant distribution, referrals and training delivery. 
  • Engage with relevant local authority departments to facilitate project implementation.
  • Engage with local partners and participate in partner identification, selection and implementation follow-up.
  • Ensure regular project implementation follow-up.
  • Ensure proper communication and engagement with all stakeholders and beneficiaries.
  • Manage Project Assistant(s).
  • Ensure appropriate documentation of all processes and activities.
  • Work with Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning team to ensure all M&E activities are implemented timely and fully.
  • Contribute to internal and donor reporting.

  • Carry out other duties as requested by the Project Coordinator on Emergency Livelihoods or Technical Coordinator on Economic Security.
  • Ensure compliance with ACTED policies during project implementation.

  • External Relations
    • Ensure coordinationnation with local authorities, external partners and relevant coordination groups (Food Security and Livelihood Cluster).

    REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration / Economics / other relevant field.
  • At least 2 years' experience in humanitarian aid or development project implementation.
  • Fluent in Ukrainian, advanced in English.
  • Data management skills (Microsoft Office). 
  • High level of flexibility and motivation
  • Start date – November 2024
