The 429th separate regiment of unmanned systems "Achilles" performs combat missions in the hottest areas of the front. The unit was created on the basis of the BpAK shock battalion, which was part of the 92nd OShBr. In 2023-2024, "Achilles" destroyed and damaged 19,853 legitimate military targets of the enemy. The 429th separate regiment of unmanned systems "Achilles" performs combat missions in the hottest areas of the front. The unit was created on the basis of the BpAK shock battalion, which was part of the 92nd OShBr. In 2023-2024, "Achilles" destroyed and damaged 19,853 legitimate military targets of the enemy. In connection with significant performance indicators, in January 2025 the battalion was expanded into the 429th separate regiment of unmanned systems "Achilles" as part of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The main tasks of the unit are aerial reconnaissance, fire damage to enemy forces and means using drones.
The R&D center opens positions for engineers who are ready to work on full-cycle projects in the direction of UAVs/robotics: electronics, software, testing and implementation of solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements
- 1+ year of practical experience with C/C++ (commercial projects, open-source or own projects).
- Complete knowledge of Linux: CLI, basic networking, process/service basics.
- Familiarity with at least one microcontroller ecosystem (STM32 / ESP32 / AVR / RP2040): GPIO, UART/I?C/SPI, interrupts, timers.
- Ability to work with Git (branches, PR, conflict resolution).
- Technical English at Intermediate level (reading datasheets/documentation).
Desired requirements
- 3+ years of commercial embedded development (release to production or support of real products).
- Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS / Zephyr / ChibiOS): tasks, synchronization, timing, limitations in ISR.
- Hands-on experience with SBC (Raspberry Pi / Orange Pi / Jetson / BeagleBone): GPIO/I?C/SPI/UART, camera interfaces.
- Experience with communication buses/protocols (CAN, UART, SPI, I?C, USB, Ethernet).
- Debugging skills using a logic analyzer/oscilloscope.
- Ability to read datasheets and electrical diagrams.
- Experience with drone/robotics firmware ecosystem: ArduPilot, PX4, Betaflight, iNav would be a plus.
