Editor of the news feed of the Editorial Office of Business Information in Ligamedia

Ligamedia is an independent Ukrainian media holding uniting the LIGA.net business publication and the ADLOVE advertising agency.

We are looking for a News editor for the Editorial of Business Information - someone who will strengthen our team and help us remain among the first to provide readers with important, verified and operational information about the economy, business and finance.

This role is about speed, accuracy and a deep understanding of the economic context. If you are interested in how the economy affects people's lives and business, and the world of numbers and facts is your element, then you should come to us.

What does the editor of the tape in the business editorial office of LIGA.net do:

• Looks for news in the field of business, economy, finance, state administration.

• Monitors official sources, releases of companies, state structures, international organizations.

• Reads and Googles a lot.

• Quickly navigates events and processes in Ukraine and the world.

• Sifts out noise: distinguishes important from secondary, interesting from formal.

• Writes news in accordance with journalistic standards and the editorial code LIGA.net.

• Promptly fills the news feed (focus on quality and results).

• Reads and edits materials (own and, if necessary, colleagues). We have our own team of proofreaders, but the editor must publish the most "clean" text in the feed.

• Has basic HTML skills for working in CMS.

What is important in this role:

• Ability to write news based on interviews, releases, orders, foreign media materials.

• Ability to formulate headlines for different types of materials (especially short, meaningful - up to 90 characters).

• Experience or willingness to work with databases and open sources: SMIDA, YouControl, Clarity, Opendatabot, registers of court decisions.

• Ability to read comparative tables of draft laws, search for data in Prozorro, Prozorro.Sales, SETAM.

• Ability to formulate inquiries, find beneficiaries of companies, check suspects by case number - this will be a big plus.

• Works quickly, but does not sacrifice accuracy.

• Knows the language of numbers and facts.

• Likes to understand the essence and explain it to the reader.

• Able to work with the volume of information and systematically see the news picture.
