GENERAL INFORMATION

BF "Right to Protection" (Fund) is a charitable organization that focuses on providing assistance to internally displaced persons, persons in need of international protection, stateless persons, persons at increased risk of statelessness and persons without documents. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and implements programs for the provision of direct legal assistance throughout Ukraine, promotes changes in the national legal framework, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights.  

BF "Pravo na defense" is looking for a candidate for the position of Distributor of material assistance in the city of Sumy.

DUTIES AND TASKS

Under the direct supervision of the regional team leader, the regional logistician and the general management of the humanitarian aid coordinator, the employee must:

  • identify the most vulnerable residents of communities and IDPs, identify their needs according to the terms of the project;

  • timely and fully display information in the CRM accounting system;

  • participate in the distribution of charitable aid in commodity form, namely:

  • go to the place of distribution or transfer of material aid to institutions, having with you the necessary documents for issuing aid;

  • identify pre-registered beneficiaries, contact them forfurther granting of aid;
  • check the criteria beneficiaries according to the requirements of the project in case of distribution without prior registration;
  • fill in the distribution information according to the requirements of the program and the project;
  • digitize handwritten information according to program and project standards;
  • attract local authorities, volunteers to unload cars in the form of goods;
  • < span style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">sign acts of acceptance and transfer with institutions that are recipients of aid;
  • - to accompany the delivery of aid addressed to beneficiaries with limited mobility, including bringing aid to the house/apartment;
  • establish relations with local authorities and volunteers to ensure a safe process of unloading, storing and issuing charitable aid in commodity form;
  • < span style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">be responsible for the primary documentation, submit original documents in a timely manner in accordance with program and project standards;
  • be responsible for communications with logistics partners that ensure the delivery of goods to the place of distribution;
  • check the quality of the delivered goods (checking the quantity and compliance of the condition of the goods declared in the accompanying documents for the goods);
  • sign accompanying documents when receiving goods from carriers, according to the instructions and work standards of the humanitarian aid department;
  • take any other responsibility deemed necessary or delegated by the manager to ensure the level of service required by the Foundation and/or donor;

  • understand and adhere to the Code of Conduct and other Foundation policies.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • higher or specialized education (preferably: sociology, jurisprudence, pedagogy, information technology, journalism);

  • readiness for significant work in the "fields" (outside the office);

  • readiness for a large number of trips and over the normal working hours;

  • readiness for physical exertion (participation in unloading aid, carrying aid to the place of storage, etc.);

  • ability to collect information in accordance with the goals and objectives of the project;

  • skills to prepare reports (analytical, regarding a separate incident);

  • understanding humanitarian principles;

  • excellent communication skills, readiness for daily communication with people (IDPs, representatives of government institutions);

  • self-motivation;

  • flexibility;

  • awareness of the situation in the area where the project is implemented will be a significant advantage.
