This role involves strategizing, planning, and executing procurement activities to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services at the best possible value. The Director of Procurement collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, identifies potential suppliers, negotiates contracts, and manages supplier relationships to optimize procurement outcomes.Responsibilities:Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.Lead the procurement team in sourcing and acquiring goods and services required by various departments.Evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish favorable terms and conditions to minimize costs and risks.Monitor market, analyze pricing trends, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering partnerships to enhance service levels and quality standards.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and legal departments, to understand their procurement needs and requirements.Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.Manage vendor performance, conduct vendor evaluations, and address any issues or concerns to maintain high standards of service.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field ; Master's degree preferred.Proven experience 7+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with a minimum of 3+ years in a leadership role.Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive favorable outcomes in contract negotiations.Excellent analytical and problem- solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.Demonstrated knowledge of procurement best practices, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.Experience with procurement software and systems (e.g., ERP, e-procurement platforms) preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
