General information

The director will be responsible for the general strategic guidance, management and implementation of the project. This role involves effective coordination of three key areas of work, ensuring their compliance with the purposes of the FPSU to support Ukraine's economic recovery and stability. The director will also lead the process of interaction with the interested parties both inside the FPSU and beyond. 

This position is mainly concentrated on the management of the project, not on technical examination, but requires a certain level of knowledge in the field of economic development as national and so on national and so And at the local level. 

Strategic Management and Coordination (65%Involvement)

  • Identify and constantly improve the strategic direction of the project, ensuring its compliance with the overall goals of the program.  
  • To supervise three areas of work to ensure effective coordination, to avoid processing or isolation of processes and to maintain consistency with the overall strategic goals of the project. 
  • participate in the project budget planning, ensuring the efficient use of resources and compliance with donors. 
  • Manage the daily activities of the project, ensuring timely tasks, compliance with budget restrictions and achieving the planned results. 
  • Ensure integration of gender equality principles, inclusion of persons with disabilities and social cohesion into all measures. 
  • Apply approaches that are sensitive to a post-conflict context and to promote the sustainability of the measures implemented. 
  • Prepare project documents, reports and other necessary materials. 
  • Manage a team and sectoral experts involved in the project.

    • Regular progress reports: monthly, quarterly and annual reports describing the achievements of the project, challenges and lessons learned. 

  • at least 5 years of experience management experience. 
  • The experience of managing and managing large -scale initiatives in the field of economic restoration, employment or development, which may include work in public authorities, private sector, international organizations or civil society organizations. 
  • The experience of coordination of interdisciplinary teams and management of several areas of work at the same time has been confirmed. 
  • Knowledge of the processes of research and contracting procedures. 
  • The desired experience in donors funded or in international development. 

  • High leadership qualities, organizational skills and planning skills. 
  • Excellent written and oral skills in English. 
  • The experience of interacting with interested parties and holding high -level meetings. 
  • The ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and adhere to the deadlines. 
  • The director will report to the director of government and restore services and will cooperate closely with the directors of other strategic projects.

    The EREO Director will be responsible for the overall strategic leadership, management, and implementation of the EREO project. This role will oversee the effective coordination of three key workstreams, ensuring alignment with PFRU's objectives to support Ukraine's economic recovery and resilience. The Director will lead stakeholder engagement efforts both within PFRU and externally. 

    This role is primarily project management-focused rather than technical, however it requires certain level of the expertise in the economic development both on the national and local levels. 

    Responsibilities 

    Strategic Leadership and Oversight (65% LoE) 

    • Define and continuously refine the strategic direction of the EREO project, ensuring alignment with PFRU overarching objectives. 
    • Oversee the three workstreams to ensure effective coordination, avoid silos, and maintain alignment with the overall strategic objectives of the project. 
    • Contribute to the project budgeting, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with donor requirements. 
    • Oversee day-to-day project operations, ensuring the timely project deliverables, adherence to budgets, and achievement of project activities. 
    • Ensure the integration of gender equality, disability inclusion, and social cohesion across all project activities. 
    • Apply conflict-sensitive approaches and promote sustainability in project interventions. 
    • Draft project documents, reports and other required materials. 
    • Manage the team and sectoral experts under the project.  

    Stakeholder Engagement and Representation (35% LoE) 

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for EREO project within PFRU to ensure alignment with other strategic projects. 
    • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with government bodies, international organisations, ITAs, private sector actors, and civil society organisations. 
    • Represent the EREO project in high-level meetings, workshops, and conferences when requested. 

    Deliverables 

    • Strategic Project document. 
    • Strategic Project Implementation Plan: comprehensive plan outlining project objectives, timelines, and budget allocations for the one-year implementation period. 
    • Regular Progress Reports: Monthly, quarterly, and annual reports detailing project achievements, challenges, and lessons learned. 

    Experience:  

    • At least 5 years of project management experience.  
    • Project management experience in leading and managing large-scale economic recovery, employment, or development initiatives, which may include roles in government, the private sector, international organizations, or civil society. 
    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple workstreams.  
    • Familiarity with research processes and contracting procedures.  
    • Experience with donor-funded or international development projects is desirable. 

    Skills:  

    • Strong leadership, organisational, and planning skills.  
    • Excellent English writing and communication abilities.  
    • Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and facilitation of high-level meetings.  
    • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.  

    Reporting: 

    The EREO Director will report to the Governance & Service Recovery Outcome Director and coordinate closely with other Strategic Projects Directors.
