Cloud Engineer/DevOps

DataObrii, a dynamic Data Science company based in the UK, is seeking a talented Cloud Engineer/DevOps with strong knowledge of AWS to join our team on a full- or part-time remote basis. As a Cloud Engineer/DevOps, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our computational systems for machine learning and big data analysis. We are looking for candidates with expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure, as well as proficiency in DevOps practices and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry regulations

Utilize tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Python scripting to automate tasks and streamline workflows.

Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimizations to enhance reliability and scalability.

Foster communication and collaboration between teams to achieve common objectives and ensure the smooth operation of our systems.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing among team members.

Implement strategies to optimize resource utilization, minimise wastage, and control costs without compromising performance or reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

At least 1 year of proven experience as a Cloud Engineer / DevOps focusing on AWS.

Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and services, with experience in AWS and Azure.

Proficiency in serverless services, EC2, API GW, SageMaker, and Azure ML.

Experience with MLOps and DevOps practices.

Familiarity with Linux/Windows operating systems.

Proficiency in using Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, and Kubernetes (experience with AKS is a plus).

Experience with ETL toolkit in AWS, such as AWS Glue, Redshift, PostgreSQL, and familiarity with other ETL processes.

Additional skills such as Python development and knowledge of DBT Cloud are advantageous.

certifications in AWS and Azure are desirable.

General:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good command of spoken and written English.
