Who are we?
DanChurchAid (DCA) is a Danish humanitarian, non-governmental and non-profit organisation that has been operating in Ukraine since 2022. In Ukraine, DCA has a joint country programme with Norwegian Church Aid (NCA), forming the Joint Country Program Ukraine (JCPUA) which focuses on various humanitarian activities.
About the job
This recruitment will be carried out in close cooperation with the CO ‘CF PEACEFUL HEAVEN OF KHARKIV’ with the aim of achieving common goals in clearing areas of Ukraine contaminated with explosive objects.
The HMA Deminer position is to conduct explosive hazard search activities under the control and supervision of the Technical Adviser (TA), or Team Leader (TL) in Ukraine. HMA Deminer must comply fully, at all time, with the DCA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for MMC Search and Clearance as instructed and detailed in the DCA Ukraine SOPs.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
Requirements:
- complete general secondary and vocational education;
- preferably previously trained and worked as a deminer for a humanitarian demining organisation
- proficiency in information processing methods using modern means of communication;
- good communication skills (verbal and written).
- ability to perform tasks promptly and conscientiously and strictly adhere to mine action standards
- be ready to change working location.

Travel related to work is expected in this position.
