BF "Right to Protection" (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), persons affected by war, persons in need of international protection, stateless persons, persons at increased risk of statelessness and persons without documents. Since the beginning of the military invasion in Eastern Ukraine, the Foundation has been monitoring the situation of IDP rights protection, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Today, the Fund works in almost all regional centers and communities within the respective regions.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The position will operate within the project"PATH: Protection, Assistance, Togetherness and Hope (UHF PATH)", aimed at solving the problems of vulnerable population groups, IDPs and other persons affected by the conflict, in hard-to-reach areas, as well as in collective centers.
OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- identify beneficiaries in need of protection assistance;
- conduct in-depth surveys of beneficiaries to identify their needs, vulnerabilities, available resources and assess individual protection risks;
- conduct home visits to assess living conditions beneficiaries;
- coordinate with the regional coordinator an individual list of documents confirming the presence of security risks in the beneficiaries;
- conduct an initial assessment of the documents provided by the beneficiary, if necessary, participate in checking the completeness and reliability of the information provided in them;
- perform a comprehensive analysis of the collected information, describe existing risks in the field of protection, possible means of response and exit strategy;
- based on the analysis, create beneficiary questionnaires for financial assistance and submit them for consideration to the regional coordinator;
- provide assistance to beneficiaries in identifying, searching for, purchasing and organizing the delivery / receipt of necessary goods, works or services, if necessary, personally accompany beneficiaries in the process of receiving services, purchasing goods;
- participate in monitoring the prices of goods, works, services that they need beneficiaries;
- advise beneficiaries on possible ways to strengthen their own resources, including: receiving assistance from other humanitarian organizations and government bodies, registration of social payments and subsidies, participation in career guidance programs and creation of own business, etc.;
- support the process of providing financial assistance to beneficiaries, monitor payments, determine the need to provide financial assistance again;
- maintain contacts with case managersand, social workers, lawyers, psychologists, representatives of partner organizations and other specialists who participate in providing assistance to the same beneficiaries;
- participate in post-distribution monitoring, including receiving checks, receipts and other documents from the beneficiaries confirming the use of funds as intended, conducting home visits;
- entering the CRM system with information about the beneficiaries, the assistance provided to them and the results its use;
- participate in case discussions, trainings and other educational activities in order to develop the competencies necessary to provide individual assistance in the field of protection;
- Understanding and compliance with the Code of Conduct and other policies of the Foundation;
- Preference is given to candidates who have their own car.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- higher education;
- experience of working with IDPs and other persons who suffered as a result of armed aggression, belong to vulnerable segments of the population or find themselves in difficult life circumstances;
- understanding of humanitarian principles;
- desire to help people;
- good communication skills, politeness and diplomacy;
- fluent command of the Ukrainian language.
