We are looking for a DataOps Engineer with extensive experience of  using and deploying AWS services , software and cloud databases. This is a technical hands-on role , the ability to work independently is a must as this person will own the technical implementation of the data lake environment, building on the current solution .

The key skill is to design and build an optimal solution to meet the relevant requirements for the data platform, which consists of an  S3 based data lake , Snowflake data warehouse and associated governance and integration services. 

The role will manage the storage of the Data Lake and will have the opportunity to help influence architectural decisions including storage options, archiving, disaster recovery, security, and supporting the teams using the service. 

Our client is a UK-based AI-driven PharmaTech company dedicated to the discovery, design and development of better medicines. It has developed the first functional precision oncology platform to successfully guide treatment selection and improve patient outcomes.

You might be the perfect match if you are/have:

  • 4+ years of professional experience on similar positions (DevOps, Data Engineer, Security Engineer, MLOps, DataOps, etc.);
  • Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services , especially in Filesystem & Object storage (S3), messaging (SQS, SNS) and monitoring (Cloudwatch, Billing and cost management);
  • Good knowledge of access controls ( IAM );
  • Hands-on experience in Terraform ;
  • Python and SQL programming skills;
  • Data engineering and DevOps practical skills;
  • Configuration and using pipeline ( Git, Bitbucket );
  • Team player , open to discussion and collaboration, but able to work independently;
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities autonomously;
  • Fluent English to work effectively in a multinational team;
  • Location in Poland for easy signing of cooperation offers and occasional team meetings.

Moreover, we appreciate skills in these areas:

  • Ability to start work as soon as possible ;
  • Data Governance, Clinical Data Storage, GxP;
  • Security practices;
  • Performance optimization .
