Database Administrator (ID 220) in HELSI

HELSI is a medical information system that is currently one of the largest in Ukraine. The service allows patients to quickly and conveniently make an appointment with a doctor, diagnoses, tests, vaccinations and order medicines, and hospitals to participate in the reform of the health care system to ensure equal access to quality medical services for all citizens of Ukraine.

More than 8.3 million people are already users of the Helsi mobile application. The system is used by more than 2,600 health care institutions and more than 38,000 doctors throughout Ukraine.

What we expect from you:

• Experience in developing relational databases (MySQL , PostgreSQL) from 4x+ years and above (structures, schemes; procedures, functions). Experience with partitioning

• Experience with Mongo DB . Experience in sharding

• Experience in setting up effective monitoring of database performance and query speed

• Ability to analyze the query plan and optimize queries, understanding of types and index operations and their impact

• Ability to work with CTE (including recursive), window functions, tree data structures

• Understanding SQL -servers at the "physical" level (how tables, indexes, temporary data are physically stored; how the query execution process takes place, the combination of tables; what is the difference between data types)
