Our team is growing, and we are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and optimize non-relational database systems, particularly Apache HBaseEnsure efficient data flow between various components such as Apache NiFi/StreamSets, Kafka, Storm, Spark/HiveCollaborate with teams to integrate machine learning algorithms using MLlibWork closely with BI tools like Apache Superset/Metabase/Helical Insight for report generationMonitor system performance and make recommendations for improvementsImplement robust security measures and backup proceduresRequired Skills:Proven experience with non-relational databases like Apache HBase and Apache HiveFamiliarity with big data technologies including but not limited to Apache Kafka, Spark, NiFi/StreamSetsKnowledge of Java or Python programming languagesExperience designing and maintaining scalable big data architecturesStrong understanding of machine learning libraries such as MLlib is preferredProficiency in BI tools (Superset/Metabase/Helical Insight) is advantageousQualifications:3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on MySQLKnowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and T-SQLExperience with database design, documentation, and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)Experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party toolsExperience in building data warehousesProblem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmicallyNice To Have:The ideal candidate will have experience in building data warehouses and supporting Machine Learning projects (e.g., ML-Ops)Support Machine Learning projects by ensuring data availability and integrityKnowledge of other databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RedisBasic understanding of DevOps methodologies and toolsExperience using rook/ceph, administration of databases on cephExperience with CI/CD tools: TeamCity, JenkinsExperience with Bitbucket pipelines or similarAdditional InformationWe offer the chance of a versatile, demanding position in a dynamic family company with a startup mentality, in which you will receive an independent area of ​​responsibility and a high level of appreciation for your professional competence.We also offer:Company and team eventsOngoing training and further educationAn energetic atmosphere and opportunity to grow within and with the companyIf you're a motivated and talented individual who's looking for an exciting new opportunity, you're ready to make a real impact in a growing company, and you have the skills and experience we're looking for, we want to hear from you.
