Database administrator in Dem'yanenko N.V., FLP

We are looking a database administrator for our client, a software development company, who provide their services worldwide since 1992. Qualified candidate will be reporting to senior DBA and provide database support during EU working hours. The databases to be managed will be custom installs on EC2 instances instead of RDS.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor production and development database instances
• Provide production support and communicate with stakeholders
• Investigate, and troubleshooting database issues. Identify root causes and implementing solutions.
• Help to optimize database and queries performance
• Help with data analysis.

Skills:

Must have:

• Database administration knowledge and experience, including performance optimization (preferably PostgreSQL)
• Experience with Linux
• Good communications skills
• Strong SQL experience
• Upper- intermediate+ level of English.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with AWS Services
• PL/PgSQL
• Shell and python scripting, or other scripting languages
• Experience working with large database instances.
