Data Visualization Frontend Engineer (Mid-level)

We are seeking a Data Visualization Frontend Engineer to join our product-engineering team (based in Kyiv)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and integrate new chart types and dashboard components to enhance the functionality and versatility of our charting library.
• Implement performance improvements for both new and existing components, focusing on load times, responsiveness, and overall efficiency.
• Design and implement APIs for efficient data retrieval and processing, ensuring they meet performance and security standards.
• Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs with frontend components, ensuring smooth data flow and interaction between frontend dashboards and backend systems.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant experience;
• Experience with design/UX principles and ability to participate in design discussions;
• Extensive knowledge of data visualization using D3 or other visualization frameworks;
• Proficiency in React.js and its core principles;
• Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, SASSExperience with Canvas, SVG, WebSockets.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve development issues;
• Ability to integrate new features into existing codebase efficiently and effectively;
• Aptitude for quickly understanding complex code structures and comprehending their interdependencies;
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot application errors.

Considered as a plus:
Expertise in building UIs for data-heavy applications;
Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for large datasets;
Experience with API development.

Location:
This opportunity can be remotely based within Ukraine or hybrid/remote in Kyiv (our office is located next to the Livoberezhna metro station).
