Data Engineer in Everstar

We are the Everstar agency. Our task is to help private companies in the defense sector find talented people and bring Ukraine closer to victory.

One of our clients is engaged in the production of equipment and radio-electronic devices, which improves the effectiveness of combat operations.

The company is constantly growing, developing and improving working processes.

The IT department is currently expanding, so we are looking for a Data Engineer.

Required skills and experience:

• Experience as a data engineer of 3 years or more.
• Confident command of SQL and practical experience working with databases at a high level.
• Free ownership of Airflow. Ability to build stable loading processes (Incremental load, Full load) and data transformation inside the storage.
• Experience in RDBMS development (procedures, triggers, functions), understanding of indexes, query plans, query optimization experience.
• Experience in Python for writing data processing scripts. Experience with Pandas, Requests, Pyodbc.
• Higher degree (Technical, Cybernetics, Mathematics or related).
  Would be an advantage:
• Hands-on experience in setting up data quality monitoring.
• Practical experience of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience of working with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data processing and storage.

Future responsibilities:

• Design, deployment and optimization of the enterprise data warehouse, ensuring scalability and fault tolerance.
• Creating ETL/ELT processes for collecting and processing data from various sources (DBs, Google Sheets, HTTP, API, files) and orchestrating them using Apache Airflow.
• Ensuring data quality and integrity, implementing validation and monitoring mechanisms.
• Metadata management,cataloging, access control and preparation of detailed technical documentation.
• Interaction and support: Close cooperation with data analysts and BI-analysts, business to prepare the necessary data, support and support of existing showcases.
