Data Curation Associate in Lyft

To do this, we start with our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization.As a Data Curation Associate at Lyft, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and usability of Open Street Map (OSM) and internal data. You will work closely with various teams to curate and maintain data sets that are essential for our operations and decision-making processes. We are looking for someone who has good analytical skills and is able to process a large amount of data.Responsibilities:Work with mapping tools with high accuracy in accordance with policiesCurate data sets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completenessDocument data and tooling issues meticulously for analysisAugment/prepare collected data for the engineering teamWork heavily with the Google Suite of products/services such as G-mail, Docs, Sheets, Meet, Calendar, etc.Review OSM edits to ensure they are made in accordance with OSM and internal policiesKeep a high level of accuracy, attention to details and integrityCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentationExperience:RequiredEnglish level intermediate (or higher) is a MUST, both spoken and writtenStrong computer skills: You must feel comfortable learning new processes, systems & tools, including labeling tools (data labeling, image labeling) and Google Drive productsAbility and readiness to deal with monotonous work without losing concentrationGeneral understanding of the traffic regulations, mapping fundamentalsPresence of basic logic, ability to handle ambiguity and provide independent reasoning and conclusions.Strong personal communication skills. Good at asking questions, and arguing your point of view, formulation of thought. Actual team player. Ability to work in a distributed team remotely.Proficiency in working with G-Suite products and services.Will be an advantageBackground in mapping, cartography and any related fields.Experience in OSM mappingAny experience in the following or related fields: data entry, data labeling, quality control.
