Purpose Of The JobWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Solution Architect to join our team, focusing on developing and maintaining a data node using Databricks to support manufacturing data. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Databricks, Unity Catalog, and data ingestion methodologies. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to implement and optimize data solutions, ensuring seamless data flow and integration within our manufacturing systems.Main Tasks And ResponsibilitiesDesign and architect scalable and efficient data solutions using Databricks.Develop and maintain the data node infrastructure to support manufacturing data needs.Ensure the architecture aligns with business requirements and industry best practices.Oversee data ingestion processes, ensuring accurate and timely data flow from various sources.Implement data management strategies using Unity Catalog to organize and secure data assets.Collaborate with data engineers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration across systems.Provide technical leadership and guidance on Databricks, including performance optimization and troubleshooting.Utilize advanced data processing techniques and tools to enhance data analytics capabilities.Stay updated with the latest advancements in Databricks, Unity Catalog, and data ingestion methodologies.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, IT, and analytics, to gather requirements and deliver solutions.Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.Document solution designs, processes, and best practices.Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulations.Education, Skills And Experience MUST HAVE:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.Proficiency in Databricks, including Spark, SQL, and Python.In-depth knowledge of Unity Catalog for data management and governance.Experience with data ingestion methodologies and ETL processes.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Would Be a PlusExperience with big data technologies and frameworks.Certifications in Databricks or related technologies.Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems.
