Main Responsibilities
The main duty is to develop in a period of time as short as possible, enough revenue and margin in the country to cover expenses related to this entity in Ukraine. The CMD will bring from existing HK contacts and opportunities and developing local business with already existing businesses in his / her network, a volume of activity in International freight forwarding activities. This could also include providing some large transport players in Ukraine (like Nova Posta) transport solutions for their international network. These services can be invoiced outside the country, should the customer request this. CMD will recruit and manage a team of operational specialists in Ukraine to give these clients adequate transport solutions and bring to HK adequate margins.
– Define and implement the development strategy in line with the guidelines of HK CEO. Define proper budget for entity's growth, and managing achieving / over achieving it
– Define a sales policy adapted to the local market
– Pilot and optimize the sourcing policy (including transport, customs and any other relevant services to be procured locally)
– Quantify and engage support and resources needed to ensure success
– Implement a subsidiary and manage the company in all its aspects: commercial, finance, administration, communication
– Being able to create local commercial and operational resources in Ukraine to represent the company, operational resources could be (should be?) able to work locally from home all over the country, while contributing to value creation
– Recruit and manage teams
– Support and develop sales rep skills
– Plan and implement the human and technical resources necessary to achieve the objectives
– Manage social relations and local requirements, including the Ukrainian State and its Administration
Mandatory Requirements
– Good field operat
– More than 5 years' experience in P&L management with strong sales orientation, possibly (but not a must) within an International Company
– Comprehensive working knowledge of cost structures in a business organization and appropriate cost improvement strategies
– Experience in managing a business unit
– High school graduate (Bachelor or higher)
– Fluent in English and Ukrainian, other languages, such as French would be a plus
– Motivated and sales driven personality
