Kharkiv regional youth public organization "EDUCATED INITIATIVE" _blank">Youth NGO helping Ukrainian families survive the war, founded in 2008, implements educational projects for youth, vulnerable social groups and provides humanitarian aid to Ukrainians on the front lines. In 2023, we became an accredited UN partner of the HFU UGKS. b style="font-weight: 700">We are looking for a qualified manager with strong organizational skills to coordinate a project aimed at providing assistance to people with disabilities.

This position involves close cooperation with local communities, state organizations and partners to ensure the safety of the population, therefore the ability to establish contacts and maintain communication at all levels is important.

The vacancy is relevant for the city of Zaporozhye , Kharkiv, Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, Kherson.

Responsibilities:

• Coordination and implementation of projects aimed at providing assistance to persons with disabilities.
• Assessment of the needs of persons with disabilities and coordination of the process of providing humanitarian aid, including the distribution of medical devices and means of rehabilitation (for example, tonometers, glucometers, wheelchairs).
• Communication with beneficiaries, preparation of documentation and organization of aid delivery.
• Providing information and consulting services on social protection, legal issues and psychological support. Involvement of specialists from other departments of the organization in order to establish a high-quality process of assistance to beneficiaries.
• Organization and conducting of group and individual consultations for persons with disabilities and their families.
• Coordination of the work of social workers, providing support to beneficiaries , provision of "social taxi" services and other formats of assistance.
• Participation in the search and selection of personnel for the implementation of all areas of the project.
• Close cooperation with other departments. Involvement of specialists from other fields to provide psychological and legal assistance to beneficiaries within the project.
• Creating and maintaining project documentation, preparing reports and monitoring the implementation of project tasks.
• Adherence to the policies, rules and regulations of HOMGO "Educated Initiative" and international donors.

Requirements:

• Higher education in social sciences, law, psychology, medicine or other related field.
• Experience working with persons with disabilities or vulnerable populations will be an advantage.
• Skills organize humanitarian aid and work with large amounts of data.
• Knowledge of Ukrainian legislation in the field of social protection and the rights of persons with disabilities will be an advantage.
• High level of organizational and communication skills.
• Skills in preparing reports, planning and maintaining project documentation.
• Proficiency in the Ukrainian language, knowledge of English will be an advantage.
• Ability to work in a team, proactivity, responsibility.
