The purpose of the organization

The main goal of the FSD is to promote demining activities. In general, the totality of the organization's activities is aimed at alleviating and reducing the social, economic and environmental consequences of pollution from land mines and explosive remnants of war on the territory of Ukraine.

 Position description

< p>The role of the EORE/NTS (EORE/NTS) Team Coordinator is to oversee the quality of program implementation, all EORE/NTS teams and their activities within the project. The Coordinator shall provide technical advice to subordinate groups to ensure capacity development of national staff and technical expertise to ensure proper and safe performance of activities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Roles and Responsibilities:

EORE/NTS Coordinator Roles and Objectives:

  • Plan and recruit teams EORE/NTS as required project.
  • Participate in the development and management of EORE/NTS projects and initiatives that contribute to the creation of a safe environment where people can live without the threat of explosive devices.
  • Develop and conduct training for staff EORE/NTS and oversee team accreditation, develop and deliver partner training as needed.
  • Conduct regular training for EORE/NTS team staff and ensure teams skills are up to applicable national and international standards.
  • Direct, direct, supervise and supervise groups under his/her responsibility, ensuring that they carry out their duties safely and in accordance with SOPs.
  • Initiate, plan and coordinate activities of EORE/NTS teams in target communities.
  • Coordinate and manage needs assessment, baseline surveys and field data collection, including preliminary assessments and EORE/NTS post-assessment and pre- and post-clearance surveys.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools such as QA/QA.
  • Coordinate and plan with EORE team leaders/ NTS implementation and delivery of various EORE/NTS workshops and events.
  • Ensure that priorities set by the program are met and the needs of donors and beneficiaries are considered in all areas of activity.
  • Liaise with local authorities, community leaders and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and acceptance of EORE/NTS activities.
  • Develop, review and deliver feedback on the proposed materials, messages and methodologies for public awareness in accordance with the SOP and the national standard.
  • Send to the Program Manager at his/her request documents and reports on sessions, beneficiaries, worked communities.
  • Maintain good relations and communication with other organizations, etc.o engaged in mine action in the area, including those involved in surveying, marking and demining or clearing areas to ensure good coordination and knowledge sharing.

Required Competencies :

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Work experience in in the field of EORE/NTS: informing the population about mine danger with humanitarian programs of mine action and non-technical survey.
  • Knowledge of interaction with the community and communication with vulnerable sections of the population.
  • Experience of leadership and team building.< /li>
  • Well organized, proactive, flexible and reliable life position.
  • Good report writing and development skills proposals.

 Desired competencies:

  • Proven experience and knowledge of information management and analysis, work with Kobo, Survey 123, Base Camp Garmin, etc.
  • Experience writing and drafting SOPs, technical work practices and standards.

Reporting:

< p>The EORE/NTS Coordinator reports directly to the Manager Programs of the WRA FSD Ukraine project.

Location of the office and place of work:

The role of the EORE / NTS coordinator is located in Chernihiv, there may also be business trips to other places of implementation of the FSD program in Ukraine or at the conference, if necessary.

General requirements:

  • Work within the framework of the core values ​​of FSD, promoting the spirit and the organization's mission; especially impartiality and non-political.
  • Work to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization and the program.
  • Keep abreast of global FSD activities.
  • Ensure that you familiarize yourself with all FSD policies and procedures and adhere to them.
  • Participate in meetings and seminars as requested by headquarters in Geneva.
  • Participate in FSD training events as requested by Geneva HQ.
  • Perform the role of Coordinator in a manner that is appropriate to the relevant cultural contexts and within all local legal frameworks.
  • Perform any other responsibilities ties corresponding to the position, if it may be necessary.

The term of employment depends on the duration of external financing of projects in Ukraine. The minimum period of work is 6 months with the possibility of extension.
